Marketplace Ministry Social Entrepreneurship
– by Pearl Kupe
In the past issues, we established that this is a season of coming wealth transfer where God is shifting wealth to His people. We also established that those who will connect to this wealth transfer are those who will use it for Kingdom and societal benefit, and not for personal agenda’s or aggrandisement purposes. In the previous issues, we specifically mentioned some of the Kingdom benefits that wealth will be used for. In this month’s article, we shall be dealing with the aspect of social entrepreneurship.
In the Kingdom of God, we must appreciate that God facilitates transfer of wealth for social benefit. Joseph was appointed as a leader in a foreign land because he had the capacity to be an instrument of social change and trans-formation.
The wealth that was stored in Egypt over a period of seven years was invested, managed, and increased so as to bring social, economic, and political transformation to a whole region. When we begin to understand and realise that wealth is released into our hands so that we can become beacons and instruments of change in our villages, our cities, and our nations, the transfer will be expedited and abundant. In Genesis 50:20, Joseph said to his brothers, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives”. When we come to the understanding that the opportunities, resources, and wealth that God places in our hands is intended to build hospitals, orphanages, schools and universities, to feed widows and take care of the vulnerable in society, and not just buy fancy cars and brand name clothing, then we will witness a transfer of wealth in the Body of Christ of epic proportions. I pray for the grace to come upon us and get involved in social entrepreneurship. Be encouraged to an instrument of social change.
