Unforgiveness is a strong weapon in the hands of the devil. Many people are suffering today because of unforgiveness. Some people have been praying for a long time, but there is no answer because of unforgiveness Mark 11:25-26 says, “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

Trapped in a stronghold
Unforgiveness can be described as a man drinking poison and expecting another man to die. Many people are going through a lot today because of the stronghold of unforgiveness. When you are holding a man in your heart, you are likewise holding yourself and at the same time giving the devil the access to attack you, accuse you, oppress you, and manipulate you.

What is forgiveness?
Forgiveness is to let go of the bitterness in your heart, that whenever you see the person that offended you, you will be at peace with him/her. You may be betrayed or hurt by someone you trusted. Genesis 50:15-21 recounts the story of when the brothers of Joseph betrayed him and sold him into slavery in Egypt, and Joseph was deeply hurt and suffered a lot in the land of Egypt, but God turned it around for his promotion and when his brothers came to him for help, Joseph never counted it for them, rather he forgave them and told them that they meant it for evil, but God turned it around for good.

Allow God into your heart
I don’t know what you have been through because of people that offended you, but as you forgive with all your heart, the Lord will likewise show you mercy and grant you your heart’s desires and do a new thing in your life.
