After being locked indoors for so long this year, my husband and I recently decided to buy mountain bikes and start getting out into nature. I never thought that I would become one of “those people,” but man was I wrong. Exploring the beautiful trails and exercising in a way that is actually fun has become something that I look forward to every weekend. We live in the most beautiful country – and here in the winelands where I am based, I am surrounded by stunning mountains, vineyards, forests, and spectacular views of the ocean. Every time I get to go out, I truly enjoy the magnificence of God’s creation all around me.

Take God with you wherever you go
Being out in nature has reminded me that you do not always need to seek God to experience His presence, but to rather ‘take Him with’ wherever you go. We are constantly surrounded by God’s creation – whether it is your surroundings, the sunset, the birds in the trees, or the diversity in the people around us. God is everywhere, and His creation is testament to that. We do not need to look far to feel His presence.

Have a look around you
What are your hobbies? What do you love to spend your time doing? How can you combine your favourite activities with an attitude of praise and worship? God isn’t bound to churches or cell groups, His majesty is all around us. Appreciate His presence today, wherever you are, whatever you are doing.
