I Can’t, But God Can!

– by Lillian vd Westhuizen

“Don’t put your life in the hands of experts who know nothing of life, of salvation life. Mere humans don’t have what it takes; when they die, their projects die with them. Instead, get help from the God of Jacob, put your hope in God and know real blessing!” – Psalm 146:3-5

Did you ever say to yourself “I’m way in over my head, I cannot do this”? I said this to myself many times, especially whilst raising my children. How do I raise Godly children? How will I ever balance life and ministry? How will I become a good wife? Have you ever asked these or similar questions? I want to congratulate you when you are at this place in your life. It’s the best place to be because now you can only trust Him. I asked God to help me to teach me how to be the best I can be on this earth and the Lord gave me the scripture Psalm 32:8, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My loving eye”

When you have reached your end; the end of your abilities, now God can take over. When we completely trust God with our lives, families, decisions, and relationships, that is when He can step in with His supernatural power and do things that will amaze us. God says in His Word that we must not trust in man but we should trust Him. What is trust? According to the Webster dictionary trust is: belief that someone or something is reliable, good, honest, effective. We know that this definition describes God in His character and therefore He is worthy to be trusted. We must trust and have faith in God, not in others. When a situation looks impossible to us, that’s when we know that it is possible with God. Let’s put our complete trust in our Heavenly Father. Let go of your way and allow God to take the lead! Let His will be done in everything you do and trust Him to teach you to become the Best You!
