Tamryn Klintworth – October JOY! Article
– by Tamryn Klintworth
Some time ago, at a Christian conference, I struck up a conversation with a certain gentleman. He was born again, Spirit-filled, and working towards his second master’s degree in theology. He knew the Bible back to front and front to back. When he asked what I did, I began telling him about In His Name and our Gospel Crusades. He became very excited and asked, “Do many miracles happen at your crusades?” “Yes, of course,” I answered. “They pop up like popcorn, it is quite marvelous really.”
He grew quiet for a moment and then commented, “That is wonderful. Personally, I do not feel that I am anointed to pray for the sick.” “Have you ever tried?” I queried. “No,” he said, “but I do not feel that I am anointed to pray for the sick.” Ah, there I saw the problem. The lack of trying was the problem. “Sir,” I responded, “the same Holy Spirit who abides in me abides in you. He is fully able to heal any sick person you come across. The only difference between you and me is that I am praying for the sick and you are not.” Dear friend, The Holy Spirit wants to move through you. He can work through whomsoever, whenever, to do whatever, depending on the need. Today, be available!
