Honour and the supernatural – Part 2: My second trip to Pakistan was in August 2017. God had connected me with Ps Arshad Masih and his son Ps Hamid Raza of the Kingdom of God Gospel Church in the Christian Colony, Raiwind, a town just South of Lahore. Ps Hamid is our SoAM Director in Pakistan. We did nine one-night crusades in villages and towns all over the Punjab, some in places where the Gospel had never been preached. With crowds from 150 to 1400, we preached to 4500 people with many salvations and healings. God then put it in our hearts to plan a big crusade.
The Lord told me His purpose with the crusade was to honour His servant Ps Arshad Masih for his life’s work. God had promised to him in 2010 that he would fill the field in Raiwind with people. This took place on 26 October 2017 when ±17000 people from Raiwind and about 200 surrounding villages gathered to hear the Gospel. It was glorious! “If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honour.” – John 12:26. To honour means to give weight to or to ascribe value to. Dishonour means to treat lightly or to consider worthless. Has our consciences become seared by a culture of dishonour? As we honoured the man of God with words and in Pakistani tradition, God honoured him with thousands of salvations! Amen.
