Grant and Theunisina Neyt – November JOY! Article

There is a question that is often asked and used as a reason why some people don’t share their faith with others. The question is, ‘what will I say?’ Jesus Christ answers this question in the following verse: “Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” – Luke 12:11-12. Jesus tells us that when we are called to give an answer for our faith before people, the Holy Spirit will give us the words to say.
This Scripture tells us that the Holy Spirit in us will do the talking through us. We are required to open our mouths and let Him talk. However, to walk in this truth requires us to have an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. This relationship comes through consistent prayer, worship, spending time reading and meditating in the Word of God, and listening to Him with our hearts. Our witness is an outflow of our relationship with our Heavenly Father.
