Grant & Theunisina Neyt – August JOY! Article

There is a story that is often used to show how pressure brings the best out of us. It is about putting a tea bag in hot water and letting it draw. This brings out the flavour of the tea bag. I would like to change the story. My story is that the hot water does not represent pressure and trials but the fire of Holy Spirit. When His fire is poured out on us and we saturate ourselves with His presence, then what God has placed in us is drawn out. And, as the cup of tea is enjoyed by others, so what God has placed in us is for reaching and affecting those around us with God’s flavour. My dear friend, let the fire of God upon you and His Spirit in you draw out His Grace in our lives to reach those around us!
“But thanks be to God, who made us his captives and leads us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now wherever we go he uses us to tell others about the Lord and to spread the Good News like a sweet perfume.” – 2 Corinthians 2:14
